Originally released on Mushroom Records and a precursor to Bomba, Banana Oil’s album “Guava Lampo” is a mix of contemporary jazz songs and the band’s own reggae influenced compositions. The “Guava Lampo” CD spawned the radio-friendly “My Family”, which won the prestigious APRA award for “Most Performed Jazz Work”.
